David says:
"Springfield Soccer Club (Springfield Township, population 19,000, Montgomery County, PA) has just issued a new patch. It is a big improvement over our old patch which had the tendency to fray around the edges and it reflects the addition of green highlights to our club uniforms this year. Our club is only in our third year of existence. We went from 10 travel teams last year to 16 travel teams this year and have added a recreational program which we hope to expand as well.

The club team I help coach is the Wildcats (U-12M). Considering the small population of our township, our program has been very successful. We won the fourth division EPYSA, Intercounty last year undefeated, and hope to repeat as winners of the third division this year (so far undefeated although competition is much tougher this year). Within the last year we won our age bracket at Cinaminson, NJ's Thanksgiving Tournament, won the Pocono Cup over Memorial Day, and just won our division in the Cape May, NJ, George Platt Memorial Tournament. Unlike East Anglia, we cannot lay claim to being the most successul youth team in the entire world (neither do we draw our players from an entire four county region) but we are working on it!"

Patch #512, added on October 25, 1997.
