Jason Rubin

From 1992 through 1994 Jason played for the FSA Strikers travel team from Fairfield, CT. In 1995 and 1996, Jason played for the Fairfield Football Club U-12 A team. In June of 1996 he also played for the Redding, CT, Premiere team during the Neptune 22nd Invitational, 1996, Neptune, NJ. From the Fall of 1996 season through 1998 he played for the Redding United / Connecticut Crew B-83 Premiere Team based in Redding, CT. During the winter 1997-98 season they won the Oakwood Indoor League Championship in the U-14 bracket and got to the finals of the Oakwood Premiere Tournament in Bloomfield, CT (spring '98). In the summer of 1998 he played for the Americana Soccer U-18 team. They travelled to Europe to play in in the Gothia Cup and the Tivoli Cup.

In the fall of 1998 Jason played fullback for the Fairfield (CT) High School Mustangs Junior Varsity team -- they completed an undefeated season (11-0). As a sophomore (fall 1999) he played for the Fairfield Mustangs JV where their record was 9-1-1. He played center-midfield and fullback and won the Coach's Award as player of the year. He was also on the U-16 Fairfield Striker Premiere team. In the early 2000 (Jan-Apr) they played in the Oakwood Indoor league in the U-16 division and won the Oakwood Indoor League Championship in their bracket. He also played on the Fairfield U-17 team in the Oakwood Indoor league -- they finished in second place. For the outdoor league (spring 2000) he played for the U-16 Fairfield FC Premiere team.

In the fall of 2000 Jason was a junior at Fairfield (CT) High School and played forward, midfield, and fullback for the Mustangs Varsity soccer team. They won the FCIAC West Championship. In the State Cup they beat Westport (who were ranked number 3 in the country), but lost 3-2 to Guilford in the finals. That year he received the "Scholar-Athlete" award for the team. For the winter 2000-2001 season he played on the U-19 Fairfield FC Premiere team in the Oakwood Indoor Soccer League (playing up two years). They won the Oakwood Indoor League Championship in their bracket. In the spring of 2001 he played on the U-17 Fairfield FC Premiere team. During the summer of 2001 he played on a Costa Rican men's team before getting injured. In the fall of 2001 he played forward, midfield, and fullback for the Fairfield High School Mustangs varsity team. They won the FCIAC West Championship and were runner-ups for the overall FCIAC Championship. Jason was extremely proud to have received the Grapski Award for leadership, scholarship and playing ability.

Jason was also a starting varsity player for the Fairfield High School tennis team. In 2001 he played singles. His team won the FCIAC West Championship, were co-winners of the FCIAC Championship, and won the Connecticut State Championship in the Class LL Division (large high schools). In 2002 he was co-captain of the team. He played #1 doubles. His team won the FCIAC West Championship.
